World Cocktail Week® will be celebrated this year from May 6 – 13th with fundraising events planned in cities around the world.

The Museum Of The American Cocktail itself will host the finale event at the museum on Thursday, May 13th from 5 to 8 pm, it is sponsored this year by Glazers Distributors. Come sample some of the best food from New Orleans' finest restaurants, fabulous cocktails from renowned mixologists, and great music of course! And Chris McMillian and Dale DeGroff will be there again to make the Worlds largest Fire & Ice Mint Julep! All proceeds will go towards supporting the Museum and its mixology series.

Their second annual WCW celebration will see Drinks Over Dearborn transformed into Tiki Over Dearborn. From the minute guests step through the doors, they will be transported to a tropical paradise filled with amazing tiki-inspired cocktalis featuring Absolut vodka, Plymouth gin, and other Pernod Ricard spirits; a "pig roast" including classic Polynesean foods; a fortune-telling Witch Doctor; hermit crab races; hula lessons; live island-inspired music; limbo contests; and more!

In New York City, art is everywhere you look - it's even in your glass of punch! The Dizzy Fizz, a tastemaker's blog on the cutting edge of NYC cocktail culture, invites you to celebrate the creativity of NYC cocktailians with a stylish soiree featuring punches made from artisan ingredients. Stimulate your senses while taking in contemporary artwork in a West Village penthouse gallery with terraces overlooking the Hudson River. Exhibiting artists will include saloon artist Jill DeGroff, graffiti artist/designer Claw Money, cocktailian/painter Charles Hardwick, cocktailian/painter Nicole Desmond, cocktailian/photographer Elba Giron, and lots more. Spring-inspired punches will be created by top NYC mixologists including members of LUPECNYC. A silent auction will benefit the Museum of the American Cocktail. The theme of the third annual dinner is “Taking It To the Streets,” featuring items inspired by street food from around the world. Joining Chef Smith in creating a dazzling five course menu for the event will be two celebrated chefs, Heidar Karoum of Proof Restaurant and Nathan Anda of Red Apron Butchery.
The cocktails will be hand-crafted by a roster of Washington’s top mixologists, including Adam Bernbach, Derek & Tom Brown, Gina Chersevani, Justin Guthrie, Dan Searing, Owen Thomson, Chantal Tseng and Jill Zamorski.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Museum of the American Cocktail (MOTAC) in New Orleans, LA. Joining the World Cocktail Week dinner is Phil Greene, from MOTAC, who is co-hosting the event.
The festivities will kick off at 6:00pm with a cocktail reception, and dinner will start at 7:00pm. Tickets are $125 and include tax and gratuity.

This mobile beverage catering company based in Sydney, Australia will be holding a private function at a local venue for 150 top clients and industry reps to celebrate World Cocktail Week. They will be donating a percentage of the proceeds raised from their cocktail sales to the museum.
